US ARMY MODEL 1920
TRAINING BRIDLE MARTINGALE STRAP:
A relatively scarce component of the Model 1920 Training
Bridle, this martingale strap featured the same Nickel
Silver fittings which were used on the other elements of
the bridle. While apparently not made in large
numbers, the Model 1920 Training Bridle was still being
listed in the 1930 printing of the US Army's Handbook
for Quartermasters.
Measuring 60” long and 1” wide, this martingale is in
excellent condition, showing only minimal evidence of
wear or use. The nickel oval stud and the snap hook are
both present and fully functional.
This is a scarce piece to complete your Model 1920
Training Bridle or to display with your 20TH
