US ARMY ISSUE LEATHER CARE SADDLE SOAP AND BLACK
HARNESS SOAP: Here’s a nice paring of one tin
of 1944 US Army issue Black Harness Soap and one tin of
US Army issue Saddle Soap, I believe dated 1943 from the
embossed inventory number information. The 1944 tin is
in like new, unissued condition and I don’t believe it
was ever used. The tin is in overall excellent
condition with only some minor handling and storage
dents. The Saddle Soap tin has seen some hard use and
storage with overall patinated surface and some pin
holes in the bottom due to corrosion. The embossed
labeling information on both tins is fully legible.
This is a nice set of US Army leather care products to
include in your collection. $45 for both tins.
