MODEL 1912 ENLISTED MEN’S GARRISON BELT RIFLE
AMMUNITION POCKET – ROCK ISLAND ARSENAL MARKED DATED
1915 – “LIKE NEW” CONDITION: One of the many
accoutrements introduced with the Model 1912 Trial
Equipments, this five round Model 1912 Rifle Ammunition
Pocket was manufactured at Rock Island Arsenal in 1915,
and is so stamped on the reverse.
In “like new” condition, this “pocket” or pouch shows no
sign of having been issued. The leather is a medium
russet color, is not oil soaked, all the seams are
intact, and the rimmed eagle snap is complete and fully
functional. There are two arsenal inspector or piece
worker stamps – one on the face of the flap and one on
the belt loop below the arsenal stamp and date.
These pouches, particularly in this condition, are not
common and this one will make a good addition to your
Model 1912 Enlisted Man’s Garrison Belt. (0416) $125
