HOLSTER, POUCH AND BAYONET HANGER SLIDE AS WORN ON THE MODEL 1904 OFFICERS AND ENLISTED GARRISON BELTS AND THE  OFFICER’S “SAM BROWNE” FIELD AND GARRISON BELTS – IN EXCELLENT “LIKE NEW” CONDITION:  A simple russet leather slide fitted with two brass eyelets, this accessory was a necessary accessory to complete the  Model 1904 Officers and Enlisted Man’s Leather Garrison Belts and the Officer’s 1921 Field Belt and the “Sam Browne” Garrison Belts.  This slide enabled the wearer to attach the Model 1912 Holster for the Model 1911 Automatic Colt Pistol, the leather first aid pouch, the officer’s compass pouch or the enlisted man’s Model 1910 Bayonet Scabbard – any accoutrement that was fitted with the double wire hook hanger of the period.

This slide is in “like new” unissued condition and is stamped on the reverse as having been made at the Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot.  The depot stamp includes the date “193_”, the last digit of the date not having been struck.

Almost never found in this condition, and in any condition this accessory is commonly missing from the above named belts and examples, particularly of this quality, are seldom found on the loose.  (0417)  $75
