MILLS MODEL 1912 PISTOL BELT w/ EAGLE SNAP IN
EXCELLENT CONDITION: A US Army Model 1912
Pistol Belt, featuring the desirable Rimmed Eagle Snap
used to secure the Model 1911 Magazine Pouch,
manufactured by the Mills Woven Belt Company with the
darkened brass belt tips bearing the Mills Co. patent
dates and bullet outline logo.
This belt has survived in excellent condition and shows
little if any evidence of use. The body of the belt is
very clean with an even green color and is properly
unmarked. The brass fitting on the adjustable end of
the belt is stamped on one side “PATENTED JAN 29 ’01
JULY 16 ‘07” under the Mills Bullet logo and on the
other “MADE BY MILLS WOVEN CARTRIDGE BELT CO WORCHESTER
MASS USA”. The rimmed eagle snap is solidly attached
and shows no signs of the tearing that is common to find
around these snaps. The metal fittings - to include the
“T” closures, the eagle snap, the adjustment tip and the
grommets – retain the majority of the original blackened
finish which was often worn away with even minimal use.
The webbing shows no wear or soiling.
Dating from the era of the Mexican Punitive Expedition,
this Model 1912 Pistol Belt is virtually in “like new”
condition - an excellent specimen of a rare belt which
would never need to be upgraded. (0418) $395
