WORLD WAR ONE MODEL 1918 US ARMY LEGGINGS – VERY
GOOD CONDITION - WELL MARKED: This matched
pair of World War One Model 1918 US Army Leggings are in
very good condition. While showing evidence of having
been worn, each legging is full form showing no wear and
no evidence of damage in storage. The laces are full
length, each retaining the original brass tips, and the
under shoe straps are full length, show no fraying, and
the metal buckles retain the original darkened finish.
Each legging bears legible ink stamped maker’s marks,
contract information, size, and the oval inspector’s
stamp. There is some light soiling on the interior
surfaces where the canvas rubbed against the soldier’s
shoes, and a couple of soil spots on the exterior
surfaces, but none of this soiling is unsightly or
beyond what is to be expected. This is a very good
matched pair to add to your World War One collection.
