ORIGINAL 19TH CENTURY OFFICERS GOLD BULLION HAT CORD – NICE COMPLETE SPECIMEN IN VERY GOOD CONDITION:  Of the style worn by US Army officers from the mid-1800’s through the end of the century, this set of gold bullion officer’s hat cords has survived in very nice condition.

The full length cords show little wear, with no fraying or separation as is normally seen, and they are complete with the matching bullion slide and both acorns at the ends of the cord.  While the bullion has the expected tarnish, there is still quite a bit of glint and sparkle remaining and this set will display quite well on your campaign hat.

These officer’s cords, due to the nature of the bullion, appear to have survived in far fewer numbers than did the enlisted men’s cords, and examples in the condition of this set are scarce indeed.  SOLD
