PATTERN 1902 US ARMY FULL DRESS CAP BANDS – “LIKE
NEW” UNISSUED CONDITION: Introduced in 1902,
the new pattern visored headgear was issued to the
enlisted men in several different configurations, to
include a dark blue dress cap. With the addition of
these bands which were worn around the outer base of the
crown, the dress cap was transformed into the “full
dress” cap.
These original bands are in like new, unissued
condition. On some of the bands, the interior surface is
stenciled in white paint with the a numeral indicating
the size in order to match it to the appropriate sized
cap.
