MODEL 1907 US ARMY WINTER HAT - AS ISSUED TO THE
NORTH RUSSIAN AND SIBERIAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCES: This Model 1907 US Army issue
Winter Cap was issued during World War One primarily to
those troops assigned to the North Russia and Siberian
Expeditionary Forces, as well as other troops sent to
extremely cold climates. This cap features a durable OD
cotton denim exterior and a wool lining on the bill, ear
flaps and cap interior. The ear flaps are held in the
up position by an OD cotton tape at the tip of each flap
– both of these tapes are present and appear to be full
length. The Quartermaster Corps tag is present and
intact on the inside of the cap as seen in the
photograph. This hat appears to be in "like new"
unissued condition, and has
survived in excellent condition with no moth holes or
other damage, and all the seams intact. These are
unique US Army hats representative of the famous
expeditions into Russia at the end of World War One and
will make a good addition to your collection. $40
