ca. 1900 TRANSITIONAL HAVERSACK w/ RATION BAG ATTACHMENT – 15TH INFANTRY MARKED:  Similar to the standard Model 1904 Haversack, this specimen   is in very good condition and includes structural features of the Model 1878 Haversack, but is sized to the specifications of the Model 1904.  It is stenciled on the outer cover “US” and “K 15 95” for K Company of the 15th Infantry.  All rings, seams and closing billet are intact and there are no rips, tears or holes.   This Haversack also includes the correct 8” x 10” ration bag buttoned to the interior of the Haversack so it could be removed for cleaning.  The buttons also served as rivets through the "D" ring billets to reinforce the attachment of the rings.  One of these buttons is missing but that does not detract from the display quality of the Haversack, nor is there any damage as a result of the missing button.  Overall a nice identified example of a piece of equipment necessary to every soldier.  $85
