ORIGINAL THREE PIECE CLEANING ROD SETS FOR THE
MODEL1877 - 1890 SPRINGFIELD TRAPDOOR CARBINE - VERY NICE
SETS: As issued with the Springfield Model
1877 – 1890 Trapdoor Carbine. I've been
fortunate to locate complete sets in
spite of them becoming increasingly difficult to find on
the loose. All are very good to excellent sets to
complete your carbine and they are listed individually
below with accompanying photographs and descriptions.

SET No. 1: This original set of the
three piece cleaning rod is in excellent condition,
showing little sign of age and no use. All three
sections are full length with clear threads. The
tip section and one of the mid-sections have smooth
surfaces with no pitting. The third mid-section
has some pitting from use or exposure, but it is still
full form and both sets of threads are clear and fully
functional. Despite the pitting on this one
section, this is an excellent and complete set of
original rod sections - much better than has been
available on the market for some time. SOLD
