CIVIL WAR/INDIAN WAR REMINGTON RIFLE/CARBINE/PISTOL
TOOL:
An original U.S. Army issue combination tool for the
Remington Rifles, Carbines and Pistols in use from the
Civil War through the Indian Wars. This tool
incorporates the two different sizes of screwdrivers
necessary to dismount and maintain the arms manufactured
by this famous maker and used throughout this period of
our history. The Remington Rifles, Carbines and Pistols
were not only used by our armed forces of the period,
both Army and Navy, but these firearms were highly
regarded by the civilian settlers, buffalo hunters and
marksmen as well. These tools were issued to the troops
and carried by the civilians to maintain those weapons.
