MODEL 1855 .58 CALIBER RIFLE AND RIFLE MUSKET BALL
SCREW—EARLY VERSION: Early 1855 version with
the rounded shoulders, used to extract the ball from the
loaded rifle without firing the weapon. Every soldier
carried one of these in his cartridge box. In very
good condition, however through use the tip of the screw
has been broken. In spite of the evidence of use,
this is still a very respectable specimen. (0405)
