ORIGINAL MODEL 1851 COLT NAVY LOADING LEVER
ASSEMBLY: Hard to find in the loose, this
is an original loading lever and rammer assembly for the
Model 1851 Colt Navy Pistols. The loading lever is
full length, the link with the rammer is fully
functional, the original screw is present with a clean
slot, and the barrel catch and catch spring are present,
intact and functional. There is some roughness due
to corrosion on a short section in the middle of the
bottom and left surfaces of the lever, but otherwise the
metal surfaces are clean and smooth, with some trace of
case coloring present on the boss of the lever.
Much of this roughness to the surface would polish away,
but I’ve left that to the discretion of the new owner to
match to their pistol. Overall this is a good
piece to complete your Colt Navy. $325
