US ARMY WORLD WAR ONE FOUR LOOP TRENCH WARFARE
BARBED WIRE STAKES: WWI era US Army Four Loop
Barbed Wire Mounting Stakes as were used to string and
separate the strands of barbed wire in the areas in
front of the trenches. Standing 57” tall, with a lower
“corkscrew” section 16” long which was turned into the
ground and the four loops in the upper section supported
the strands of wire. As suggested by a senior WWI
collector, these stakes can do double duty for your
collection not only as collectable artifacts, but also
as period pieces to set the scene for your equipment
display. When placed in front of your valuable
collection with lengths of wire or rope strung between
the stakes, they provide an effective and period barrier
to keep the public from accessing your collection.
Simply have a short section of pipe that will fit inside
the diameter of the lower corkscrew section welded to a
metal floor plate and this will make a convenient stand
for the stakes, easy to transport and assemble with your
display. $65 each or 2 for $115
