THE ARMY HORSE IN ACCIDENT AND DISEASE, 1909: A US ARMY MANUAL PREPARED FOR THE USE OF STUDENTS OF THE TRAINING SCHOOL FOR FARRIERS AND HORSESHOERS, MOUNTED SERVICE SCHOOL, FT. RILEY, KANSAS:  This comprehensive manual addresses, in detail, the diagnosis and treatment  of the expected injuries and illnesses of a horse in military service.  The text covers confirmation, wounds, diseases, anatomy, and medicines.  The text is augmented with 22 illustrations, diagrams, and photographs.  Printed by the Washington Printing Office, 1909, this original 112 page hard bound, cloth covered manual is in very good condition, with minimal amount of wear to the covers.  Inscribed in ink on the inside of the front cover and on the front flyleaf is written “TROOP H” to identify the manual as the unit’s property.  An interesting manual to add to your WWI, Cavalry, or Veterinary Medicine collection, this volume is a very impressive body of instruction.  SOLD
