SPRINGFIELD RESEARCH SERVICE SERIAL NUMBERS OF U.S. MARTIAL ARMS:  An excellent addition to the library of any collector of U.S. martial firearms, the volumes of the Springfield Research Service’s Serial Numbers of U.S. Martial Arms series provide an interesting reference source.

Gleaned from the records available at the National Archives, Frank Mallory assembled data regarding firearms he found in unit records which he published over time in a four volume series.  As the information he discovered was published in each succeeding volume, no one volume is comprehensive.  The sets of four volumes are long out of print and are now only available in the secondary market, and at that these volumes – singly or in sets - are fairly scarce.

VOLUME I:  Shows some shelf wear, but is still firmly bound with presentable covers and no loss of pages, or other damage.  (0301) $140

VOLUME III:  Larger than Volume I and containing more entries, this Volume III is in excellent condition showing no wear with clear covers and no loss of pages, or other damage.  SOLD
