US MILITARY
MUSKET UPPER BARREL BAND: I have not been
able to identify this one, but it is definitely for a US
musket. It has the same flat profile as the
muskets that were used through the Model 1855 Rifle
Musket and Musket. Measures on the interior - 1
5/16" high and 1" wide. Stamped with the "U" on
the right side. (0637) $50

CIVIL WAR
ERA SPRINGFIELD STYLE RIFLE
MUSKET BARREL BAND W/ DIMPLE ON LOWER CURVE OF THE BAND:
This one stumps me. It was obviously used as it
bears a unit identification stamp on one side. It
is of the size of a middle or lower band and it has a
distinctive "dimple" along the lower arc of the band.
If you know which rifle musket this was for, I'd
appreciate hearing from you. Please, no "it could
be..." suggestions - it could be anything, but a
positive ID would be appreciated. (0640) $25
