19TH CENTURY
GUNSMITH MILLING TOOLS:
Acquired as a set, these three cutting or milling tools
present as being made during the same period and quite
possibly from the same source. The largest tool bears a
hand written tag which carries the description “Hand
forged screw dressing tool – for squaring up the
underside of the head”. The other two tools appear to
be designed to perform in a similar manner on other
parts of the guns. Measuring 2 7/8” long, all three
tools have distinct cutting surfaces with no damaged
blades, and all three appear to be in full form with no
excessive wear or corrosion. A nice set to display with
a gun smith themed collection. (0703) $150 for the set
of three
