VINTAGE HOPPE’S CLEANING PATCH TINS: The
sort of collectible that surfaces in old estates, these
two tins of Hoppe’s Gun Cleaning Patches are also the
kind of firearm related advertising that was easily
consumed and thrown away, making them fairly scarce.
These two tins are offered here as a set. The larger
container measuring 2 ˝” in diameter and 3” tall is a
card stock tube with a metal top and bottom. It still
contains some of the original cleaning patches. The
smaller of the two measures 1 5/8” in diameter and 3
1/8” tall, is made of completely of tin and it also
contains some of the original patches. The larger tin
is labeled for .38 to .45 caliber and 410 to 20 gauge,
and the smaller tin is for .22 caliber. Both are full
form, with the original labeling still fully intact on
the smaller tin and mostly intact on the larger
container with some very minor loss. This would be a
great set to add to a vintage sporting arms display.
